Oyster Festival, Art Exhibit, Godspell This Weekend in Milford

'Doors & More - Art You Can Live With' Exhibit Meet the Artist Reception and Grand Opening Friday, Aug. 16, during Oyster Eve (details about that below) throughout Downtown Milford, 5 to 9 p.m.

Oyster Eve Oyster Eve at Lisman Landing on Friday at 6 p.m. Harbor Stage headliner: Jimmy & The Parrots. Oysters, beer, wine, pizza, fried dough, hamburgers, hot dogs, Italian ice and other food. $5 cover charge.

'Godspell' at Jonathan Law High School The Milford Recreation Department and Blockhead Productions present "Godspell," a musical based on the gospel of St. Matthew, Aug. 16 and 17, at 7 p.m., at the Jonathan Law High School auditorium. General admission is $10. Seniors get in for $5. For tickets, call 914.439.6405.

39th Annual Milford Oyster Festival 
The Milford Oyster Festival is Saturday, Aug. 17. The annual festival draws upwards of 50,000 people a year and this year features headliner Blues Traveler. On the fence about going? Here are 10 reasons you should head down.

ShakesBeer Festival in Stratford 
More than 50 Connecticut craft breweries are expected to take part in the ShakesBeer Festival on the grounds of the Shakespeare Theatre Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. Proceeds will go to benefit the theatre.
