Webster Bank Robbery Suspect Charged after Hospitalization

Suspect is a convicted bank robber, police say.

The man charged with robbing Webster Bank on Broad Street last week has been formally charged after being released from the hospital, where he was being evaluated after a 10-foot plunge in a failed escape attempt, police said.

Mark Henderson, 44, of the Bronx, has been charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree larceny, criminal possession of a firearm, second-degree threatening, and interfering with police, according to the Milford Police Department.

Henderson was released from the hospital and transported to the Milford Police Department for processing Friday, police said.

The suspect was being evaluated after falling 10 feet into water in a bid to elude cops following the March 31 robbery, police have said. The suspect allegedly entered Webster Bank on Broad Stret -- masked and armed -- and took an undetermined amount of cash, according to police. No one was injured -- but the suspect.

Henderson was being held on a $500,000 bond pending arraignment, police said.
