Police: Two Residents Robbed at Gunpoint on Gulf Street

Milford police say the victims were walking in the area when they were approached by two males in hooded shirts.

Milford police are looking for two males who they say robbed two individuals walking along Gulf Street early Saturday morning.

A handgun was displayed during the robbery, Milford police said, but no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, which took place in the area of Snug Harbor Road about 1:30 a.m. on July 27.

"The suspects took personal property from the victims and fled the area last seen heading Northbound on Gulf Street towards New Haven Avenue," police said. "A police K9 team conducted a search of the area, which terminated in the area of Bedford Street."

The suspects are described as males, possibly in their early to late teens. They were wearing dark jeans and dark zipped-up hooded jackets, police said.

A message regarding the incident was sent to residents and businesses in the area through the Milford Alerts System and officers have increased patrols in the area, according to the police report.
