Cops: Unattended Toddler Found Roaming Near Road

A Milford man was charged with risk of injury to a minor Sunday night after a toddler was found unattended in the driveway of his Merwin Avenue home, police said.

Brian Leone, 30, was released on a promise to appear in court July 16.

“A motorist passing by the home observed the toddler near the roadway and knocked on the door of the home but did not get a response,” police said in an arrest report.

Police said the toddler was put in the hands of a neighbor until contact was made with Leone.

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident, police said.
