So I Went to Pop's for Lunch Today

And it was good.

I am not a particularly gifted writer of food. I am, however, a prodigious eater of it.

That's especially true on days when work pushes lunch back a couple hours, which was my precise predicament Tuesday afternoon.

So in hopes of a meal to satiate, I headed for the first time to Pop's new spot on Old Gate Lane.

I came in craving some sort of chicken wrap and, to my appetite's delight, the second on a list of a handful of specials was the Teriyaki Chicken Wrap.

The wrap came with fries -- a lot of fries -- and not a soggy one in the bunch. The chicken itself crowded the belly of the wrap and was complemented by thick slabs of cheese, lettuce and tomato, and a generous dousing of teriyaki sauce.

As far as wraps go, this one was mammoth. So much so that I had a surplus of fries at the end. And all this for under 8 bucks.

Now I know I've focused this review entirely on the food but that's the thing with Pop's, or at least it is to me. The grub -- that's the takeaway.

The ceiling did seem higher than the old place, though, but it could have been on account of me being so weighed down.

Have you been to the new Pop's? What did you think?
