Spalthoff unanimous choice by Republicans to run for Mayor

I am humbled and honored to have received the unanimous support of the Republican Party to run as their Mayoral candidate in this years upcoming election.
Last nights convention was well attended.  I was nominated by Mark Lofthouse, seconded by Paula Smith, Susan Fontana, Tom Jagodzinski and Joe DellaMonica, four individuals who I have the utmost respect for and four individuals whose comments made me reflect on my past and why I want to be Mayor of this great City.
At the convention I also had the opportunity to thank a lot of people and I would like to do it again on this blog because I believe they deserve the praise.
The chairman of the MRTC, Paul Beckwith as well as the vice chairman, Bill Bevan did and excellent job in organizing and putting on the event. The Milford Fife and Drum, who are always excellent and a young lady Katherine Forbes, who I asked to sing and sing she did. It was an  AWESOME rendition of the National Anthem and Amazing Grace thank you again.
To my team, my lovely and supportive wife, Susan Spalthoff, Mark Lofthouse, Paula Smith, Bill Bevan, Bill Farrell, Joanne Rohrig, Ken Fellenbaum, Tom Jagodzinski, and Matt Gaynor, these individuals collectively have  a wealth of personal experiences and an even broader knowledge of the Cities inner workings and that experience can only help make our committee
stronger.
Several of the commitments that I made at the convention were to never try to sell lower taxes to the voters when it was done with the help of transferring money from the "rainy day Fund' and secondly, to always be transparent in my decisions no matter how popular they may or not be.
