Suzanne Manning, Neighbor

Suzanne loves being a part of the Milford community with her children Todd and Maryalice. To echo her love for our city, Suzanne launched <i>Milford Living Magazine</i> seven years ago to provide a printed resource matching the lifestyle and interests of our Milford family. Throughout her career in publishing Suzanne has been responsible for the development and supervision of a number of successful publications, books, and Internet product launches.

In addition to her professional experience, Suzanne currently serves on the boards of The United Way of Milford and The Get in Touch Foundation. Suzanne is a member and friend to a number of civic and community-based organizations including The Milford Chamber of Commerce, The Network of Executive Women, Milford Hospital Auxiliary, The Irish Heritage Society of Milford, and The Milford Historical Society. 

Suzanne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy at Sacred Heart University where she is currently pursuing her Masters degree. She also attended New York University for Print and Publishing Communications.  Suzanne has a strong belief in being a good neighbor to fellow residents and businesses.  She has received a number of venture awards within the business community including: The Business Times <i>40 under 40 award</i>, and The Milford Chamber of Commerce <i>Business Person of the Year</i>. <i> </i>In addition, Suzanne has received two citations for her active participation in government affairs from the State of Connecticut for<i> Business Expertise </i>and<i> Community Development</i> and was a recipient of <i>The Commander’s Award of Merit</i> from The Veterans of Foreign Wars. A parishioner of St. Ann’s Church in Devon, Suzanne is a HOPES award honoree for her involvement in furthering parish elementary education. 

Suzanne served the City of Milford as a Board of Aldermen member representing the 3rd district of Milford from 2007- 2009. She has served as a committee member and board liaison for Devon Revitalization and the Walnut Beach Enhancement commission. Suzanne is a community minded individual who brings a positive perspective to the good work she does for the City of Milford.
