The name Phil Brodsky is synonymous with area sports. For more than 40 years, Brodsky has covered athletics throughout the region, starting with the Milford Citizen and most recently, with Elm City Newspapers.

Brodsky is passionate about local sports coverage. In 2002, he won a first place Excellence In Journalism Award from the Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for a feature article he researched and wrote about how obsessive compulsive disorder had impacted the athletic career and personal life of a local high school student. 

In addition to his print journalism career, Brodsky is also a broadcast journalist with SportingNewsCT.com,  broadcasting scholastic football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, baseball, softball, and lacrosse contests as well as American Legion baseball. Phil also has had broadcast experience with WFIF-1500 AM and WNHC-1340 AM. He also co-hosted the SNCT live sports talk program at Buffalo Wild Wings and has broadcast high school state championship football and volleyball games on Connecticut Public Television.
