Ben Blake, Neighbor

For the past eight years, Ben has served on Milford’s Board of Aldermen and has asked the hard questions on municipal issues and fought for lower taxes throughout the budget process. During his tenure as Chairman of the Board, he expanded the city’s senior tax relief program, provided the resources necessary for excellent schools, and delivered the first tax cut in Milford’s history!

Ben was born in Milford and his parents, grandparents, and even a generation before that have made Milford their home.

Ben grew up riding Bus “K” to Calf Pen Meadow and playing sports at Foran High.  He attended the University of Richmond in Virginia where he studied History and Government.  While in Virginia, Ben taught Civics to high school juniors and seniors.  He then returned to Connecticut and worked for the Connecticut General Assembly, the State’s Attorney, the Attorney General, and the Judicial Branch.

Today, Ben remains close to the heart of Milford as an attorney at The Quinn Law Firm on the beautiful Downtown Green.  Professionally, he has been recognized for his accomplishments as a litigator being named a “Super Lawyer” in Connecticut Magazine and a “Connecticut Rising Star” by New England’s Super Lawyer Magazine.

When not working or conducting city business, Ben and his wife, Sandy, are kept busy by their remarkable one year old son, Carter.
