City Hall sits at the mouth of the Wepawaug River that flows into the Long Island Sound downtown.   TheMore building, with its white pillars and wooden door, still reads "Town Hall" because Milford -- which is nearly 355 years old -- became a city relatively recently due to population growth.  More than 52,000 people now call the "Small City with a Big Heart" home.  The mayor's office, the city attorney and the grant coordinator are housed at City Hall.  Other government offices can be found at the nearby Parsons Government Center.

The Milford Board of Aldermen is a legislative group that approves the legislation and budgets of Milford. The groupMore works separately from the mayor, and all final legislative decisions are decided by the Board of Aldermen. Meetings are held at 7:30pm on the first Monday of every month, in the City Hall Auditorium.
