Pamella A. Nelson December 24, 2013 at 08:39 am
I am happy to volunteer and help out tomorrow for the Christmas Dinner. I will be there for the 11Read More to1 PM shift. Please let me know if there are any special instructions re: parking, clothes, etc. I have been trying to find a phone number to call and let you know that I will be volunteering, had no luck. See you tomorrow. Thank you Elks for doing this.

I want to thank all the volunteers that helped out at this event. Without you, we could not haveRead More made this event happen! The Elks so appreciate the communities involved in our effort to help those in need. I will be unable to volunteer as I will be working with another group but I strongly recomend it. IRead More did it for years, had a lot of fun and got to know some wonderful people all while helping a great cause.

Will there be any safe guards to make sure the causes are worthy and not scammy?
Gary Jeanfaivre June 18, 2013 at 05:30 pm
Absolutely! Thanks for asking. We'll have some internal safeguards, and, of course, we all know theRead More community best and will be able to identify those that are genuine and worthwhile and those that are scams. Together we'll quickly weed out any scams that arise, and we won't allow them to take away from what we feel is an exciting and effective way to connect Milford residents with the causes that are important to the community. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have more questions or would like more information. My email is gary.jeanfaivre@patch.com. Thanks again!

Seems to be two guys that are authorities on every subject...maybe the Patch should eliminate theRead More comments options. It cheapens the site.
John O'Neil DVM November 14, 2011 at 04:31 pm
For those that don't want trees move to Arizona or New Mexico. I also don't like comments fromRead More people who use just their first names and have no profile on file. And yes John, Milford Patch does seem to have a few who are experts on everything.

If not for trees we would probably not be able to breathe the air around us, I agree with Bob J. ifRead More done properly the fallen trees do make good heat. Milford Trees is a wonderful organization, I recall when they first started and know how hard their volunteers have worked over the years - keep up the geat work! Charlotte Weston
