i have a 1954 ranch that has been remodeled for handicap accessibility. with a ramp, wide door,Read More large mbr. main level laundry, heat pump for heat and AC, hardwood floors, new insulation, new energy efficient windows, black appliances all within 5 yrs. of age, screened in porch, and lovely gardens- flower and berry- in the back yard, drainage trenches in the cellar with 2 sump pumps, and an attic that was remodeled into 2 bedrooms or 1 bedroom suite. bath room has not been remodeled but there is a way that it can be done.. house is located in northern waterbury by the wolcott line (bucks hill area) the house needs a new furnace . the house inspection for the present buyer is available to be perused, and can see what has been updated. house was bought 5 yrs. ago for 138,000 and at least 40,000 of modifications and repairs. will sell the house as is (which is very good) for 135,000. do not let the evaluations of wtby fool you. this house is a gem for the money and especially for some one who is handicapped. if children are involved, there are parochial elementary and HS, though i understand that the public elementary school that this house is districted to has a good reputation. if you know of anyone who is interested, please contact me at my e-mail. mcastler@yahoo.com. all appliances and winddow treatments are included as well as closet organizers. other items can be negotiated. some vets from this area go to west pt. for health care.
