The show aired last week. Sometimes you can catch previous episodes online. It was a really goodRead More show, congrats to SuzyCakes. Next time I'm downtown I am going to have to try some cupcakes.

Best of luck with the contest. Ryan, please do a follow up to let us know when the show will air.Read More Also, an article about SuzieCakes and its owners would be nice. Milford loves its businesses and we love to know our neighbors.

TLK...What is Milford sustaining?...There is nothing on this side side of town that is sportsRead More related. It could actually bring additional business to some of other businesses in that strip mall and those surrounding it...If anything, Milford can't sustain any more restaurants...
tlkensington May 15, 2013 at 07:10 pm
How many bike/kayak rental places can Milford sustain. I think the answer is zero.

I have no reason to fight the crowds. There are plenty of great options in Milford. I will probablyRead More stick with Papa's but will try Colony's pie in a few weeks. I also still need to try the other new place where the Bar B Que used to be. Has anyone tried that place yet?

Matzkin outgh to make sure that Dunn pays him upfront. all i am saying is that i wonder why theRead More employees fled to Joe and Kate...
tlkensington May 19, 2013 at 08:55 am
Looks like Dunn, nor his attorney have any class. No wonder they are trying to bully this girl. ByRead More the looks of it, Dunn is the reason why MacDaddy's is horrible. He is too worried about profit to care about food. The food sucks and his company is having a hard time expanding. Who would want to expand such a crappy brand? A brand built on an idea that wasn't Dunn's to begin with. Now he is complaining that someone might be stealing his stolen idea. No wonder Voll wanted out from MacDaddy's. I wouldn't want to deal with Dunn or his idiot attorney. Look at Matzkin's website! No style or substance in this man.
MaeRest May 19, 2013 at 05:30 am
So now people are ignorant, maybe of the truth? Matzkins is Dunn's attorney spewing the case on thisRead More article, only he spews his side, There is an injunction according to court documents that Dunn is not allowed at the two Macdaddy locations, and why doesn't Matzkin cut and paste the reason? Because it doesn't look good for Dunn! also from what I heard and the writings, his so called Texas Macdaddys changed its name and wants nothing to do with the Macdaddy's name or Dunn. From what has been out there no one wants Anything to do with Dunn or his name. Since Matzkin is cutting and pasting court documents then the judgement found in Dunn's partners favor which is the father of Voll should be put here also. Matzkin,as an attorney is unprofessional to fight his client's battle on this site. And for your information Matzkin, people aren't dumb. they see you are trying to change the facts.

I do believe every business knows in advance just what fees and taxes will be due and when. ItsRead More called doing your homework. With this knowledge they know how to price their product. It is the customer who also knows that overhead is part of the price of doing business in that community.

Just what is blight? Is it a residence that has been for sale and has no buyers? Is it a commercialRead More building that seeks a business to rent it? Is it a structure that has been abandoned by the prior owner and now is the property of our city. Just what do you do with property destroyed by mother nature or a fire that is boarded up and awaiting insurance settlement. What about property that has been stuck in governmental red tape? If the taxes are paid up can Blight be applied? Does an owner have to please its neighbors with a pretty looking structure? Finally, who makes the decision on what constitutes Blight?
tlkensington April 25, 2013 at 09:08 pm
Good luck! I can't wait to eat at Paul's again. Milford has lost many of its old establishments overRead More the years and it will be good to have one of them back. Also, sorry that you had to come here and defend yourself against libelous statements. Its a shame that your property also made it on the news. News 12 should allow you to explain how your property isn't a blight and how you hope to reopen soon.
Pauls Location April 25, 2013 at 08:32 pm
In regards to the Paul's location I would like to share some information, Paul's is underRead More construction, the process of planning the work with the Architects, Designers, Engineers, Builders, and all the required city departments including the Health Department, The Sewer department, The Fire Department, The Zoning Department and the Building department is quite the process. The property has been maintained during the winter with proper snow removal and clean up, the grass has been cut and all garbage dropped their daily has always been picked up. The location will open as soon as possible and will be a very exciting location for the families of Milford.

Dear Angus, Hope this settle the matter. Silver Ram is correct From MSN Money.....Highest TaxedRead More States - No. 1: Connecticut •Income tax: 5% •Sales tax: 6.35% •Property tax per capita: $2,381 •Inheritance tax: 7.2% to 16% with $2 million exemption High taxes in Connecticut are paired with the nation's highest income per capita -- $56,001 per person in 2010, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. A sales tax increase took effect in July, raising the rate from 6% to 6.35% and adding a further 3 percentage point levy on luxury goods such as expensive cars and boats. The state collects the third-highest property taxes per capita and is one of 14 states to tax Social Security income, according to CCH.

Ron, I think we will all be very pleased with the final building design and look. They are doing anRead More excellent job in trying to make this building not only fit into the surroundings of the downtown but, they are also working with the neighbors to minimize the congestion that their contractors might cause. The finished product I am sure will be a home run.
RONALD M GOLDWYN March 14, 2013 at 05:25 pm
