I've been in my Milford home for 17 years and recently, I received a recorded message that my home is now considered to be in a flood zone according to the brainiac's over at the FEMA office. This was all brought on because of our most recent hurricane Irene I believe. Give me a freaking break!!!
I haven't gotten so much as one single drop of water in my home or in my basement as long as I've been there and I haven't heard of any of my neighbors getting any water damage either. Now I'm being told that I will have to pick up flood insurance.
I think its ridiculous that someone at the FEMA gets to make this kind of lame decision on the part of Milford residents without our even being given the chance to discuss the matter. I feel like I'm being shaken down. I'd be interested to know if there are any other Milford residents that feel the same way as I do.
