What: Are you looking for an opportunity to help people, broaden your horizons and feel a sense of accomplishment? Lions Clubs International has what you are looking for.

Tuesday

Holiday Brooches Workshop

When: 2 p.m.

Where: Milford Public Library (57 New Haven Ave., Milford)

What: It's not too late to make a fun, easy, felt poinsettia holiday brooch, for yourself or a friend. This free workshop has all the material and instructions you'll need. Please call 203.783.3307 to register. Class size is limited.

Thursday

Classic Book Discussion

When: 10 a.m.

Where: Milford Public Library (57 New Haven Ave., Milford)

What: If you love reading the classics, you'll love this book discussion! This month we're reading one of Dickens' Christmas stories, "The Haunted Man." All are welcome.

Traditional Irish Music

When: 7:45 p.m.

Where: St. Gabriel's Parish Hall (26 Broadway St., Milford)

What: Join the Shamrogues, the performance group of the Shamrock Traditional Irish Music Society, for an evening of holiday cheer and traditional Irish music. Sponsored by the P.V. O’Donnell Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the session is free and musicians and guests are welcome to attend and participate.
