Herbcrafters Meeting, Halloween Parade This Week in Milford

Monday

Herbcrafters Meeting The Herbcrafters of the Milford Historical Society will meet on Monday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in the Bryan-Downs House, 34 High St. Members will work on crafts that will be sold at the Society’s open house during Milford’s "Lamplight Stroll" on Dec. 6 and 7.

Wednesday

AARP Driver Safety Class
The Woodruff Family YMCA will host an AARP Driver Safety Class on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. This one day, four-hour class will cover the normal changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time associated with aging, and provide practical techniques to adjust to these changes with an emphasis on safe driving strategies.

Cemeteries and Gravestones Ruth Shapleigh-Brown, expert in Connecticut cemeteries and gravestones, will present a lively discussion at the Milford Public Library that will be of great interest to genealogists and historians.

Classic Book Discussion
Just in time for Halloween, library book group will be discussing "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Walnut Beach Halloween Parade The 6th Annual Walnut Beach Witch Halloween Parade will be taking place at Walnut Beach on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31.
