Connecticut Tax-Free Shopping Week Sales or purchases of clothing or footwear costing less than $300 per item are not subject to Connecticut sales and use taxes during the exclusion week. Runs through Saturday, Aug. 24.

Wednesday

Turning 65? Questions about Medicare? Get the Facts This free question-and-answer seminar at the Milford Library will be conducted by Jim Lambert of First Choice Consulting. Two sessions - one at noon and one at 6 p.m. Free and open to the public.

Woodmont Farmers' Market at Treats Farm: Market offers a wide variety of Connecticut items such as fresh fish, vegetables, seasonal fruit, cheeses, baked goods and guest musicians, artisans and food trucks. Rain or shine. Treats Farm is located at 1339 New Haven Ave. Starts at 3:30 p.m.

Free Outdoor Movie at Fowler Field Milford Education Foundation, Milford Prevention Council, and the Milford Recreation Department present a free outdoor movie event - Dreamworks "How to Train Your Dragon." Bring a chair, some snacks and enjoy a fun movie under the stars with your family.
