Blood Drive, Health Care Workshop This Week in Milford

Monday

Blood Drive at Milford Elks Hall In order to donate you must be healthy — feel well and be able to perform normal activities. If you have a chronic condition such as diabetes, healthy also means that you are being treated and the condition is under control. You must be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds.

Genealogy Workshop at Milford Library Genealogist Greg Thompson presents "An Intimate Look at Family Tree Maker 2014." Free and open to the public. Funded by the Friends of Milford Library.

Thursday

Affordable Care Act Workshop at Milford Library If you are among the many who do not have health care, this free workshop will help explain the health care exchanges and the subsidies available for many. Trish Pearson, principle at Trish Pearson Insurance, has been following the health care law closely, and will bring up to date information on it to this presentation. Free and open to the public. 

'Presentation of Wreaths' at West River Health Care Center Come walk through the building to see all the decorated wreaths which are up for auction to benefit the Children's Cancer Center at Yale New Hospital. Center is located at 245 Orange Ave., Milford.
