When was the last time you did something for yourself? Something that made you feel like you’re making a difference? Volunteering your time not only helps those in need, but also gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment that comes from deep within. Nothing feels quite like that. Whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller. And communities get better. Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as communities worldwide. When the challenge arises, our answer is simple: We Serve. We are the youngest social service org but have grown to be the largest. Why? Because volunteerism is at the heart of our efforts. We help where help is needed – in our own communities and worldwide – with unmatched integrity and energy. We help provide funds and resources for many organizations and individuals. We believe that together, we can make the world a better place.

Why Join the Milford Lions?

Are you looking for an opportunity to help people, broaden your horizons and feel a sense of accomplishment? Lions Clubs International has what you are looking for. Lions clubs offer an unlimited range of possibilities. Lions Clubs International is the premier service club organization in the world. In addition to meeting needs wherever they exist, Lions clubs offer extensive opportunities for the kind of volunteer experience you’ve been looking for. Make a difference everyday in your community. You can work on projects that interest you, get on the leadership track, or engage in both, all while enriching lives and making friends,  while being a part of a worldwide organization carrying out community and humanitarian projects.

Will Joining the Milford Lions take time away from my family?

On the contrary, being a Lion enriches your family life. Maybe your spouse would be interested in joining the club with you. We have many couples as members. By volunteering, you are setting a wonderful, positive example for your children about the value of contributing your time to better your community. In many clubs, children are welcome at special club events and activities, and sharing the volunteer experience first-hand with your child will foster a life-long dedication to helping those in need. A Lion contributes what she or he can. Time commitments can range from as little as three hours a month to participating in every club function & event

What are the benefits of being a Milford Lion?

You are given the ability to grow personally and professionally by participating in our programs, community service projects and events. You develop relationships with both local and international community and business leaders. You have access to membership discounts and services. But more importantly, we have fun in the process and make friends along the way

You become a Lion by invitation. So contact The Milford Lions Club. We meet on the first Monday at The Bridgport Flyer 249 Bridgeport Ave  Milford and third Monday at Chip's Restaurant, 321 Boston Post Rd., Orange at 7:00 p.m.

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

I second Christina! Is no one listening? we are up to our ears in pizza! Im pretty sure we have moreRead More pizza in milford than new haven! Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
