CL&P is reporting 4,396 outages across the state. Outages reported by United Illuminating number 778.

More than 5,000 Connecticut residents are in the dark as of 7 p.m. and that number is likely to increase as there is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until midnight for the state. 

Connecticut Light & Power is reporting 5,149 outages including 878 in Enfield, 1,226 in Cromwell, 153 in Newtown, and 102 in Brookfield. 

United Illuminating was reporting 752 outages with 750 of them coming from Milford as of 6:30 p.m. but by 7 p.m. the utility claims no outages. 

The entire state may receive thunderstorms tonight.
