Milford Downtown Farmers' Market Opens June 22

'Don't miss out on summer's feast,' local farmers advise.

The Milford Downtown Farmers’ Market is set to open for the season on Saturday, June 22.

“Fresh produce is plentiful, from lettuce to corn to hot peppers,” reads a message on the market’s website. “Don’t miss out on summer’s feast. See you every Saturday.”

The farmers’ market at 58 River St. will run through Oct. 9 and take place every Saturday (excluding Aug. 18 for the Milford Oyster Festival) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Milford vendors expected to be offering their products, according to the website, include Walnut Beach Creamery, Scratch Baking and Bobette’s.

Products include local fruits and veggies, honey, ice cream, granola, cheese, natural grass-fed beef and pork, naturally raised Connecticut chickens, soups, body care items, pies, jams, jellies, plants, alpaca and sheep fiber products and much, much more.
