Yappy Hour presented by the MCC Health & Wellness Council

Something to Yap About

Milford, CT. The Milford Chamber of Commerce Health & Wellness Council invites all to ‘Yappy Hour’ on Thursday, May 31, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Café Atlantique, 33 River Street, Milford, to “Yap” about alternative healing arts for your furry family members. Learn about multiple alternative health care options that are available for your cuddly buddies. Dr. Julia Carter of Pond Point Animal Hospital will be discussing acupuncture therapy for pet conditions including arthritis, disc disease, mega colon, constipation, and pain management for dogs as well as cats with chronic conditions. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture by IVAS. Also learn about how chiropractic care can benefit your pet’s health.

In addition, discover how pet insurance can help protect you and your pet presented by a representative from the Chamber Insurance Trust. There is no charge for this educational event. Please call to register 203-878-0681.

The Health and Wellness Council was founded six years ago, and is comprised of business owners and those working in the health and wellness industry. Its mission is ‘to empower the Milford business community to foster positive changes through education, health and wellness’ and its vision is ‘to make Milford, Connecticut the healthiest community in the nation.’ Monthly meetings are the second Thursday at 8:30 a.m., at the Milford Chamber, 5 Broad Street.
