J.K.A. Shotokan Karate is a martial arts school. SK engages primarily in training and coaching students in martial arts and philosophy. We offer a unique learning approach that is not limited to the physical aspect of the martial arts. Emphasis is on teaching students the holistic teachings of the East that encompass the development of Body, Mind and Spirit. Beginners 1 Classes: Learn the elementary building blocks of karate: stance, posture, coordinated body movement, and concentration upon the opponent. Karate involves training the entire body with balance, focus and proper breathing. It's roots lie in the same Japanese traditions as kendo, the art of sword fighting, or ikebana, the art of flower arranging.  Karate employs a devastating combination of punches, kicks and elbow or knee strikes. It generates dynamic power by contracting and expanding the body, adding torque by rotating the hips. Its' focus unleashes maximum force against areas like the solar plexus where an opponent is most vulnerable. Karate strengthens the leg muscles, and works on the cardiovascular system as thoroughly as any aerobics class.

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

I second Christina! Is no one listening? we are up to our ears in pizza! Im pretty sure we have moreRead More pizza in milford than new haven! Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
