BRITTON JOHN BROATCH MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

The ninth and final Britton John Broatch Memorial Wiffle Tournament will take place 9:00 a.m. at Foran High School Athltic Complex, Milford, Saturday July 14th.  The Tournament has grown to be the largest in Connecticut, raising funds for charitable dontions and a scholarship in Britton's memory.  Nine years ago, 25 year old Britton John Broatch died of a massive stroke while visiting his brother in San Diego. Wiffle (r) was a favorite of the Broatch Family.  The family decided to host a yearly Wiffle(r) Tournament to raise money for an annual scholarship at Britton's high school, Foran High and for charitable needs.  Carrying on the tradition, this year's event will take place rain or shine.  Registration is limited to the first 64 teams. Each team of three to five players is guaranteed to play three games. A free lunch donated by Subway World Headquarters and a t-shirt are included in the registration fee.  Registration costs $125 per team. To register visit thebjbtournament.com or call 203 877-4435.
