Patricia DeCoster, principal of Platt Tech in , was let go by the state technical high school system for performance reasons.
According to an article by the New Haven Register, more than two dozen emails and documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act indicated that the state did not renew DeCoster’s contract because of performance issues, but they did not say what those issues were.
In the newspaper’s Milford Matters blog, the Register’s Brian McCready said after waiting for state officials to comply with the FOIA request for the documents and emails, it was frustrating that the reason for DeCoster’s departure was still kept secret.
