ORIGINAL POST

As Milford continues to mourn the tragic death of Maren Sanchez, a candlelight community vigil has been planned for Monday evening to honor and remember the slain Jonathan Law High School junior.

The vigil, which will begin at 7 p.m. will be held at the JLHS football field.

Organizers are seeking help with securing balloons — preferable purple in color, as that was the 16-year-old's favorite color — and candles for the event.

In addition, donations will also be collected in order to purchase a memorial bench for Maren on behalf of the Jonathan Law's junior class.
