Milford Schools Closed Today, March 8

With a few inches of fresh snow, it's a long weekend for Milford students.

All Milford schools will be closed today, March 8, due to the weather.

With a few fresh inches of snow and more wintry weather predicted throughout the day, the district announced its decision this morning.

Are you kidding? Maybe they should start plowing. What a joke

Isn't Milford in New England, where it snows in the winter?....I drove to work, a little slippery, but not horrible....too many snowdays!

I understand why schools are closed but why no plowing? This mayor is gambling with our lives. Come on Blake, you really need to make better decisions!

What Lynwood said.

It's like 4 inches of snow. If my employees front wheel drive civic can handle it than I'm sure a school bus can
Hal DePino March 08, 2013 at 05:40 PM
It's not so much the busses driving as it is kids standing on the side of the road in less than optimal driving conditions. I bet you'd be the first to sue the school system if your kid was hit by a car or plow while standing on the side of the road waiting for the bus. There is way more than 4 inches of show out there. Ane here we go again with the plows. Can't all be first.

Okay. 5 inches of snow. It's really not that bad. It isn't 3 feet like we had a month ago. Not everyone is asking to be plowed first people would just like to be plowed in a timely manner. That is all
