An active member of the school community, Erin served as the school’s student liaison to the Milford Board of Education, delivering the Foran High School update each month at the Board business meeting.  She also served as the treasurer of the Spanish Honor Society and has volunteered countless hours as a member of the Milford Youth Commission and the school’s Natural Helpers group.

In addition to carrying a heavy course load and her volunteering activities, Erin has a job babysitting three days a week after school.

Miss Dunn will be attending the University of Connecticut in the fall where she will enter the Honors program to major in political science. Looking into the future, Erin would like to pursue a career in Washington, D.C., and work as a senatorial advisor.

Salutatorian: David Glowny

Mr. David Glowny, son of David and Jacqueline Glowny, will serve as Salutatorian for the Class of 2014.  Mr. Glowny ranks second in the class of 227 students.

While at Foran, David has taken the most rigorous courses, including six Advanced Placement courses and nearly all honors level courses available.  David has continually excelled in science and math courses and, in his senior year, decided to focus on them specifically – taking AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, honors level Physics and took a lead role in the Sikorsky STEM Team (science, technology, engineering and math) as an independent study.  Last summer, he was invited to participate in the UCONN Explore Engineering Program.

Among his many academic awards, David served in the junior honor guard at last year’s commencement exercises.  He received the Dartmouth Book Award and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Math and Science Award last year.  In the SAT Subject Test for Math II, David received a perfect score of 800.

David has been a dedicated and deeply involved member of the Foran Marching, Concert, and Jazz Bands.  Over the years he has served as a mentor to younger students entering the band and has volunteered for many band-related events and programs.  In addition to band, David is a member of the Foran Mission Bible Club and the Milford Youth Commission.  In his spare time, he bowls in a Saturday league.

Mr. Glowny will be attending Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute in the fall, where he plans to major in computer and systems engineering.  As for the future, David hopes to work in the computer design field and says his dream job would be to work at Google, Apple, or Microsoft.
