Jonathan Law High School Juniors are #Lawstrong

Milford businesses rally to support Jonathan Law juniors

Law juniors would not be denied in their quest to hold their prom, which was held Sunday night. Several local businesses donated free services including hair cuts and makeup for the juniors.

The junior class prom was supposed to be held in April, but that was the same day that Junior Class President Maren Sanchez, 16, who had planned the prom was fatally stabbed at the school.

The prom was postponed indefinitely, but students were determined to proceed with their plans. On the night of Sanchez’s death, Law juniors went to the beach dressed in tuxedos and gowns, holding Sanchez’s dress she had purchased for the prom.

On the junior class prom’s Facebook page it states “We have the most amazing community! Thank you to all the hair salons and florists who donated time and services on a day off. God bless you all.”
