Foran Principal Named Superintendent in Bethany

The following is a press release from Milford Public Schools

The Milford Public School district today announced that Joseph A. Foran High School Principal John W. Barile will be leaving Milford to assume the post of Superintendent of Schools for the Bethany Public Schools. The Bethany Board of Education approved Barile as the new Superintendent Wednesday evening at its Board meeting.  He is expected to begin his tenure in Bethany in January 2013.

Mr. Barile has been a member of the Milford Public Schools staff for 19 years.  He began his work in Milford as a middle school teacher and then advanced through the ranks, having served as the Principal of John F. Kennedy Elementary, West Shore Middle School and, most recently, Foran High School.

“Word truly cannot express my gratitude to the Milford school district for all of the support, guidance, and friendship I have received during my time here.  While I will miss the students, staff and families here in Milford, I am looking forward to joining the team in Bethany,” comment Barile.

Milford schools superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Feser offered her congratulations to Barile upon learning the news.  “I am excited for John in his new role as Superintendent of Bethany.  At the same time, John will be missed in Milford as he has positively impacted countless students, staff and families in his nearly 20 years as a teacher and school leader.”

The district intends to appoint an Interim Principal for the remainder of the school year, and conduct a thorough search for a permanent replacement.

Barile and his wife, Michelle, are the parents of two young sons.  The family resides in Milford.

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

I second Christina! Is no one listening? we are up to our ears in pizza! Im pretty sure we have moreRead More pizza in milford than new haven! Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
