Free Women & Young Adults Car Care Clinic June 30, 10 a.m.

Location: Dr. Nick’s Transmissions & Complete Auto Services, 498 New Haven Avenue, Milford      

Milford, Connecticut. There will be a comprehensive hands-on Women & Young Adults Car Care Clinic and a live remote airing of 89.5 FM Radio WPKN’s popular ‘Carbob Show’ on Saturday, June 30th, at 10 a.m. at Dr. Nick’s Transmissions & Complete Auto Services, 498 New Haven Avenue in Milford.

Space is limited, so RSVP for the clinic participation is encouraged. Visitors will also meet ‘Carbob Show’ hosts Bob ‘CarBob’ Costanzo – a Professor of Automotive Technology at Gateway Community College, ‘Diesel’ Doug Echols and David ‘Danger Del’ DellaPietro of WPKN, and Mark ‘The Mechanic’ Mushin of Dr. Nick’s Transmissions and Complete Auto Care.

Attendees will learn the ‘How To’s’ on basic vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, changing a tire, checking all fluids, checking tire pressure and tire treads for wear, and checking belts and hoses. There will be refreshments and drawings for prizes throughout the event.

In addition, valuable insight and information will be shared regarding finding out the difference between worn and good parts, how to talk to an automotive Service Writer or Technician – including specifics questions to ask - what to look for when buying a car, and basic car safety.

Caution! The Women & Young Adults Car Care Clinic will take place in a working automotive shop. Participants will be looking at and touching real cars and parts, so you should be prepared to get dirty. RSVP’s are encouraged as space is limited. For further Information call 1-800-DOC-NICK.
