Humane Education for Children

On the last Saturday of each month from 9am-12pm or 12pm - 3pm children in various grades (dedicated levels for each lesson) are invited to the Stratford Animal Control Facility, 225 Beacon Point Road in Stratford to participate in a fun filled program designed by the Humane Society of the United States and presented by the Stratford Animal Rescue Society (STARS) to teach age-appropriate, standards-based academic skills and major character concepts—kindness, citizenship, fairness, respect, responsibility, and integrity—while reinforcing those ideas as they apply to our treatment of animals.

Program is free with a donation of pet food.

For more information and to pre-register (must pre-register) visit STARS on the web at: www.stratfordanimalrescue.com
