Congrats! Milford Teacher, Para And Parent Of The Year Announced

Great job everyone for their recognition.

Teacher of the Year: Jessica Kuropat
Congratulations to Jessica Kuropat, Milford's 2014 Teacher of the Year.  Jessica is a co-teacher at Pumpkin Delight Elementary School in Grade 3.  Described as a 'master teacher,' Jess has become a valuable part of the Pumpkin Delight and the entire Milford Public Schools communities.  In addition to her daily teaching responsibilities, Jess serves on the school's SCIP team, Crisis Management Team, and many other operational groups within the school.  In her free time, Jess coaches the Special Olympics Swim Team -- an activity with which she has been involved for many years.  As Milford's Teacher of the Year, Jess will now move on for consideration as the Teacher of the Year for the entire state.  Good luck, Jess!

Para-Educator of the Year: Gail Urban
Having served as a Para-educator for 40 years, East Shore Middle School's Gail Urban has been a constant and welcome presence in the Milford Public Schools.  Her care, her focus, and her desire to help children succeed has been unmatched.  We are proud to announce Gail Urban has been selected as theDistrictwide Para-Educator of the Year.

Parent of the Year: Dr. David Esposito
Dr. David Esposito
has been described as a 'fixture' at Joseph A. Foran High School -- despite being a very busy and very successful cardiac surgeon!  This year's Districtwide Parent of the Year finds the time to be involved in a myriad of school activities, including serving as a coach of the school's Wrestling Team, advisor of the Foran Innovative Thinkers (FIT) club, and volunteering for nearly every event held at the school.  Congratulations, Dave!
