Milford's September 11 Ceremony at Live Oaks

The following is a press release from the Office of the Milford Mayor.

 

The will remember the events of September 11, 2001 with a simple ceremony of song and prayer.

The official event will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at ’s World Trade Center Memorial Garden, 575 Merwin Avenue. The event will be held rain or shine, and all Milford citizens are invited to attend.

The and Honor Guards will present
the colors. The children from Live Oaks School will participate in the short but
meaningful remembrance.

The Reverend Gary Witte, Pastor of the Woodmont United Church of Christ Congregational and Rabbi Dana Bogatz of Congregation Sinai will lead attendees in prayer.

The World Trade Center Memorial Garden was dedicated September 9, 2002 to
Michael Miller and Avnish Patel, graduates of Live Oaks School, to Seth Morris
of and to all those who perished in the tragic attacks on
September 11, 2001.

To clarify, they have 4 cats, and they're only able to take two of them, plus their 14 year old dog.Read More It was a struggle for them to even find a way to get the dog in the rental agreement, otherwise they would have tried to take them. :(

Sad that they had to leave these beauties behind. I'm sure they are heartbroken over it.

Please contact Forgotten Felines in Clinton. They are a no kill cat shelter. Offering "free toRead More a good home" pets is dangerous. There are bad people out there who take them and sell them to research labs or use them as bait in dog fighting. Please rethink this ad.
