I know Joe Della Monica Jr. He and I have had countless debates regarding politics. While, of course, he is always wrong, our debates are always in good fun. I consider him a friend. When he was Chair, we worked well together and even brought the two Parties together to raise money for Toys for Tots.
As a party we do not encourage or in any way support much of what is seen on the blog posts, either here or in the newspapers - from overly zealous contributors. We respect all the candidates from the other side of the aisle. It takes commitment and sacrifice to put your names out there and put in the work required to run for office. Win or lose, the Democratic Party respects your commitment and your effort.
We can disagree, even passionately about issues, experience, vision etc - but I think both Parties are equally committed to our good city.
RON GOLDWYN the most experienced candidate for PZB. Ben Blake has adopted my slogan in saying, "Because experience DOES matter" I’d love your vote as a 74th birthday present on Nov. 8
Commenting gives everone the opportunity to share life experiences and my almost 74 years have not been dull. I tell my stories so that others will do the same. Only Patch allows us to do this. My life has been full of many contributions to the community in which I lived as I didn't just take, but offered aid to those less fortunate residents. This is my first attempt at elective office after 50 years of helping others. RON GOLDWYN the most experienced candidate for PZB.
