REP. JAMES MARONEY RECEIVES PUBLIC SERVICE FELLOWSHIP

Rep. James Maroney (D-Orange, Milford) was accepted as a Robert J. Thompson Eastern Leadership Academy (ELA) fellow for his commitment to public service by the Council of State Governments’ Eastern Regional Conference (CSG/ERC). 

“It is an honor for me to be chosen by CSG to participate in this excellent enrichment program,” Rep. Maroney said. “I look forward to expanding my skills and applying them to my job as a legislator so I can more effectively represent my constituents in Milford and Orange.” 

Maroney was one of 25 officials selected from the East Coast, Puerto Rico, and Canada to participate in a four day program on the historic campus of the University of Pennsylvania in August to sharpen his leadership skills and for personal and professional development through policy lectures and group skills building activities. 

Maroney represents Orange and Milford’s 119th Assembly district and is serving his first term. He serves on the Higher Education and Employment Advancement, Insurance and Real Estate, and Public Health committees.
