To serve or not to serve on a town board if you have been under investigation?
That's the question that has arisen in a couple of recent news articles.
In one, the New Haven Register's Brian McCready reports that Ward Willis' bid to sit on the city's Planning & Zoning Board was put on hold by the Board of Aldermen because of a past arrest, charging him with harassment.
The other story raises questions about whether Anthony Candido, a city police commissioner and member of the Mayor's Committee for People With Disabilities, should keep his appointments now that he's been suspended without pay from his job as Waterbury's chief court marshal pending the outcome of a sexual harassment probe.
What do you think?
