Rocket is a spirited black lab mix who seems anxious to launch into a new home.
The 1- to 3-year-old appears to have the attitude of a teenager who is in need of a leader of the pack.
He's a fine-boned free spirit who loves to jump -- and would probably enjoy playing fetch.
So if you have a lot of energy and a way of commanding control, this 50- to 55-pound bundle of joy is for you!
He's up for adoption at Milford Animal Control at Silver Sands State Park. There, he launched out of the kennel like, well, a rocket, hence the name!
After he got a treat he so desired, Rocket landed on his haunches and wore a big smile on his face! So be reassured, this dog knows how to show gratitude!
Although he loves people, Rocket needs a home with no small children. It's unknown whether he'd get along with other dogs -- or cats.
