More Parking For Downtown Milford?

City has been looking to add more spaces downtown for years.

The dream of adding additional much-needed parking spaces downtown is not over. 

While plans for a municipal parking garage near the Milford Train Station are not going to happen, there is the possibility of acquiring property downtown and turning it into a major parking resource, according to minutes from an Economic Development Commission meeting. 

Very little details were provided, but Chairman Robert Kapusta and John O’Neil met with Mayor Benjamin G. Blake to discuss additional parking possibilities downtown, meeting minutes state.

Additionally, signs will be erected informing residents about additional pocket parking downtown. City officials have stated that there are numerous spaces available downtown but often residents don't know where it is located.
