Milford Voter Turnout Has Been 'Apathetic'

Have you voted today? Polls close at 8 p.m.

 

said that voter turnout for today's Senate primary "has been apathetic. It's running just a little over 10%."

Cook noted that earlier today, turnout was around 5-7%, with some places only reaching "as high as 11%."

"I'd be surprised if we reach 15%," Cook said of the final percentage of eligible voters who've .

The final tallies will come out after 8 p.m.

As for why turnout has been so low, Cook said, "People just didn't understand why they were voting. There just wasn't enough out there to explain why people were voting."
