Milford receives $1.4 Million in Federal Funds

The funds are a result of damage inflicted by Superstorm Sandy.

Milford received $1.4 million in federal funds to undertake repairs as a result of Superstorm Sandy, the New Haven Register reports. 
The city received $780,000 for the construction of the Morningside revetment to protect private residential properties and a pump station there, the Register reports. 
Additionally, $500,000 was secured for a 210-foot breakwater at Gulf Beach which consists of stone and rubber to diminish waves during intense storms, the Register reports.
