Milford Officials Pen School Security Letter

The letter, penned by Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Feser, Police Chief Keith Mello and Mayor Ben Blake, outlines the steps that have been taken to improve security at Milford Schools.

Among the measured outlined in the letter, are:

  • The Police Department has increased its presence at our schools since the day of the Newtown tragedy.
  • A check of all outside cameras at every building was conducted as well as the buzzer system and front doors to all schools to ensure all are in working order.
  • Also, the cameras in place in our schools are being linked directly to the Milford Police Department. This way, in case of a future emergency of any kind the Police Department can see exactly what is happening, in real time.
