Milford Focuses on Tourism

City hopes to boost its local economy

The city’s Economic Development Commission will take the lead in attracting more tourists to Milford.

Mayor Benjamin G. Blake said he asked the EDC to add tourism to its agenda.

“By adding tourism to the agenda we are demonstrating there is a commitment from the city to build this industry,” Blake said in a release. “Our city boats 17 miles of shoreline, hotels, fabulous restaurants, shopping and easy access from boats, cars and trains.”
