Milford Fire Department Storm Preparations

The Milford Fire – Rescue Department are implementing apparatus and personnel changes in anticipation of high call volume, power outages, wires down and drifting snow.

As you know blizzard warnings are in effect for the state of Connecticut and willc ontinue to be in effect until Saturday afternoon.

In preparation for these conditions, The Milford Fire – Rescue Department are implementing apparatus and personnel changes in anticipation of high call volume, power outages, wires down and drifting snow.

The department will be staffing the apparatus with additional personnel. All front line engines will be running with ALS capabilities.

We have also stationed department plows on the east and west sides of town to assist with possible blocked streets when transport is needed or when apparatus needs to access unplowed roadways.

The Department will also be monitoring the shoreline for flooding issues.
