Milford Chamber: 'State of the City' Address to Take Place May 16

The following is a press release from the Milford Chamber of Commerce.

The Milford Chamber of Commerce Legislative Action Committee presents the 2014 State of the City Address by Mayor Benjamin G. Blake.  

The event will take place on Friday, May 16th, 2014 at Aldario's Restaurant, 240 Naugatuck Avenue in Milford, at 12:00 noon.  

“We look forward to hosting this informative presentation made by Mayor Blake,” noted Kathleen Alagno, President  &CEO.  “His positive yearly update is always welcome.”

In addition to the Mayor’s address, The Milford Chamber of Commerce, Inc. will present their “Annual Award Scholarships” to twenty-three (23) students from the Milford area. The scholarships are granted for various fields of study and all scholarship winners will be present at the event to receive their awards. The $19,500.00 in scholarships are funded through the Milford Chamber of Commerce Trust and its annual fundraiser, The BIC Golf Classic, which takes place in July. 

“We are pleased to foster the educational goals of our city’s youth through these annual scholarships,” says Christopher Carveth, Esq., Chairman of the Scholarship Committee. “We wish all applicants the best in their future endeavors.”
