Metro-North Reduced Schedule Starts Today

It's all weather-related.

Metro-North has issued the following release regarding a cut in the winter schedule due to the harsh weather.

New Haven Line Reduced Winter Schedule in Effect Beginning February 7 due to Weather-Related Equipment Shortages

Given the continuing equipment shortages on the New Haven Line and the need to improve reliability of train service, Metro-North has issued a  New Haven Line Reduced Winter Schedule, effective February 7 through March 4. This schedule reduces weekday AM and PM peak service by approximately 10 percent.

Also, a Sunday Schedule will be in effect both Saturdays and Sundays beginning February 5.

In developing this reduced schedule, we have taken a number of factors into account, including the number of cars available for service, ridership patterns and our ability to operate the new schedule reliably. (See a message from Metro-North President Howard Permut on this winter's impact on our New Haven Line fleet.) The schedule is available on Metro-North's schedules page (in the interactive schedule and in PDF form), and on Metro-North Train Time . You can also contact our Customer Information Center at 212-532-4900.

We regret any inconvenience you may have experienced as as result of the recent weather-related equipment shortages, and appreciate your patience during what has been a very frustrating period for us all.

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

I second Christina! Is no one listening? we are up to our ears in pizza! Im pretty sure we have moreRead More pizza in milford than new haven! Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
