Blake Picks Retired Officer as Milford's Assistant Mayor

Milford Mayor appoints Steven Fournier as his assistant. Do you think that's a good choice?

Mayor Benjamin Blake announced the appointment of retired police officer Steven Fournier to the position of assistant mayor.

"What I looked for in filling this position was someone who possesses the highest degree of professionalism, someone who knows his way around Milford and truly understands our community’s people, streets and neighborhoods. Steve fits the bill. He is highly regarded throughout our community and I believe he will represent my administration and our city well in this position," Blake said. "Milford is fortunate to have Steve on board."

Fournier commented “I have a lifelong commitment to Milford and I look forward to continuing my public service in this community and working for the City for which I care so much.”
