Fort Trumbull Beach in Milford Closed For Swimming
New samples will be taken Friday in time for the weekend.
The Milford Health Department has closed Fort Trumbull Beach to swimming because samples revealed elevated levels of bacteria in the water.
New samples will be collected Friday morning by the Health Department, officials said in a release.
You can check on whether local beaches are open Saturday by calling 203-783-3285 and to check Silver Sands State Park's Beach call 860-424-3015.
