DeGrego is a former Air Force Master Sergeant and Forensic Detective with the Mount Vernon PD. He is the Milford Inland/Wetlands Commissioner.

In an article in the New Haven Register, DeGrego said he will try to make the state a better place for seniors to retire:

'Why should a person who worked hard their whole life in this state, raise their family and then say bye as they move to another state because the taxes are better?' he asked.

Gayle Slossberg, a Democrat, is the Assistant Majority Leader at the State Senate. She is the Chair of the Government Administration & Elections Committee and Vice-Chair of the Public Health Committee and the Veterans Affairs Committee.

In an interview with the New Haven Register, Slossberg Slossberg pointed to her record as why she should be reelected:

'I’m the only person sitting here who has come up with nearly half a billion dollars’ worth of savings and waste from our state government,' she said at a recent debate. 'When we say no to regulations it’s not enough; we have to be able to streamline and fix those things that don’t work.'
