Milford’s 375th Plein Air Painting Event

In celebration of Milford’s 375th Anniversary, the Milford Arts Council invites area artists to partake in “plein air” event during the City’s Celebration Week; June 7th-15th.

Artists must register for one or more historically significant sites (*download list below) along with days and times you plan on painting, set up your easels and paint! The site list is available below as well as linked with the City’s 375th website.

No more than 2 artists may register for the same site. However, Artists may select more than one site, for more than one works.

The public will be able to access the list and visit artists on site to watch their progress. Bring along a sketchbook and try it yourself!

The reception and art show will take place at the Parsons Complex surrounded by the MAC’s “Bill Meddick Permanent Art Collection." Dates to be determined but will give artists ample time to finish and frame their work.

This is a non-juried, no– fee show. At the show’s reception 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize will be announced.

The “Mayor’s Choice” will be announced with a cash prize of $1000 by our own Mayor Ben Blake and will become a gift to the City as part of the Permanent Art Collection.

More details to follow.
